Like many multi-purpose arenas, the PPG Paints Arena has multiple arrangements that can seat a varying number of guests. The list below is what you can expect:

Certain events may require extra space to run, so this can vary. But seating limits are usually listed in the even description.

Seats are arena style black-backed seats with pull down cushions. Seating is designed for comfort with plenty of elbow room for most guests.

ADA-approved accessible seating is available at all levels of the arena and at all pricing levels. Each accessibility seat comes with a number of companion seats closeby. And all seating, regardless of ADA-approved status, has excellent sightlines to the stage.

The arena’s seating layout provides diverse options to match every budget and viewing preference. It accommodates approximately 18,387 guests for hockey games and up to 19,758 for concerts, depending on stage placement and floor configuration. Of course, you’ll want to consider the type of event before making your seat selection.

Lower Level (100)

The lower bowl provides the closest views of the action, placing you near performers and athletes with excellent sight lines. You’ll find sections numbered in the 100s that horseshoe around the arena floor. 

You’ll typically pay premium prices for center sections directly facing the main stage or hockey benches, but corner and end sections still offer good viewing. Some “club seats” appear in sections 101, 102, 103, 111, 112, and 113.

Upper Level (200)

The arena’s upper-level sections (seats in the 200s) provide more budget-friendly options and the opportunity to enjoy events from a slightly elevated vantage point. You’ll see the entire arena floor, which works best for hockey games and elaborate stage productions. 

With the cost factor, these sections are popular with families and students. For that reason, the atmosphere in the upper sections feels energetic. Expect to share the space with passionate fans creating memorable game-day and concert experiences.

Comfortable Club Seating Areas

The PPG Paint Arena’s club seating options provide enhanced amenities like wider seats, extra legroom, and potential access to exclusive lounges. Options include the KeyBank Club (sections 101, 102, and 103), Captain Morgan Club (sections 111, 112, and 113), and Lexus Club.

The ticket prices reflect the premium experience. For example, you’ll likely be invited to enter the arena through dedicated entrances. Club guests also make use of features like private restrooms, premium televisions, and comfortable furniture for relaxing during intermissions. 

A Suite Time at the Arena

If you want to upgrade your entertainment experience in Pittsburgh, the arena’s various private suites are a great choice. These spaces cater to groups of up to 30 guests and have options for things like dedicated catering services. In a suite, you’ll have the option of interior viewing from a climate-controlled comfort or exterior seats in the seating bowl to catch the live atmosphere.

Suite holders often receive VIP parking passes, private entry access, and concierge services that handle details and special requests. Look for options like Loge boxes, PNC Legends Level Executive Hospitality suites, and Canadian Club Party suites.

Accessible Seating

The venue provides wheelchair-accessible seating locations throughout all price levels and seating areas. You’ll find accessible positions in the lower bowl, club level, and upper deck that meet ADA requirements, ensuring that friends and family can sit together.
